Church - but not as you know it!
Messy Church is a great event for the whole family! Come and join in together with a Bible story, fun craft activities, singing and a meal.
Messy Church is welcoming to everyone, especially if you’ve never been to church before. It is a safe, fun and friendly place for you and your family to come, just as you are!
Some of our recent themes have been, “I am the Good Shepherd,” “Calming the Storm,” and “God’s Wonderful World.”
How Messy Church Works
GATHERING
A casual activity while everyone gathers, such as games or colouring.
STORYTIME
Children and parents sit together for a bible story, often with acting, props or scenes!
CRAFT ACTIVITIES
The children explore different aspects of the story they've just heard through the crafts they do. Crafts we have done include painting, making shepherds from various materials, filling sensory bottles, digging for vegetables, making windmills, folding origami boats, decorating cupcakes, and many more!
CELEBRATION
The children and parents hear a recap of the story of the day, and then we join together in singing and celebrating our wonderful God.
FOOD
Children, parents and volunteers all sit down together for a meal and conversation together.
